All are welcome to a free luncheon as we learn more about our local Magdalene House ministry. Magdalene House stands in solidarity with women who have survived lives of trafficking, prostitution, addiction, and homelessness. According to the Polaris project, 79% of women in the sex trade said they began by force, 51% reported being forced to have sex with more than 10 men per day. These stats are staggering and disheartening but Magdalene House’s intent is to model a community through providing these local women with 24 months of free housing, treatment, vocational training/employment and permanent housing upon graduation.
